Romney fails to win over Christian voters

In liberal states like Massachusetts and Illinois, Mitt Romney has scored massive primary & caucus victories. In states where evangelical/born-again Christians make up the majority of voters, he is getting beat. While Romney is very much on track to win the nomination, this is a terrible sign for the general election. In fact, I believe there’s even the possibility of Obama knocking off a surprise win or two in states with large black populations (most anywhere in the Deep South.) We want to get rid of Obama, but we also want to put somebody who shares our values in office. Furthermore, these are not the days of JFK and people in the red states will never again trust liberals & ‘moderates’ from Massachusetts (and who can blame them?) Romney does not share our values, and a lot of Christians are bound to stay home or vote third-party in November. A surefire loser. However, on the other end of the spectrum, Rick Santorum is probably a bit too polarizing for the majority of Americans, whether we like it or not. Newt, though, can appeal to us evangelicals and win among the independents. If only more GOP primary voters would give him the opportunity …
