Not entirely sure what to say as I type this. Yours truly is okay, and was many miles removed from the location (s) where this happened. Of course, I join everyone in prayers for the victims and families. At this moment, there is no confirmed information about who may have set off these explosives, although it is clear that it was an attack of some sort. Both Gov. Patrick and President Obama refused to use the words ‘terror,’ ‘terrorist,’ or ‘terrorism’ during their briefings, which is really outrageous. Obviously, the person or people were trying to cause terror. And they succeeded. This is terrorism, whether it’s some domestic nutjobs, an Islamist group, or whoever else. Until we find out more about who did it, how they did it, and what their motives were, it’s really only a guessing game as to whether it could have been prevented or not. What on earth could possess someone to do this is way beyond comprehension, but they will get what’s coming to them. Apparently, an eight-year-old boy is one of the two people confirmed to have been killed. Many more are maimed for life. It’s really hard to wrap one’s head around this level of evil. I don’t even want to get into conspiracy theories at this time, but I see they are flying fast and furious across the Net already. I’ll just say, to the people or person responsible, you don’t mess with our country, and you don’t mess with Boston. President Obama was right about one thing during his press conference: Boston is a tough city, and Bostonians are coming together to help each other.
