The specific chains highlighted here may be outdated and outmoded, but retail across the board is suffering a steep decline. Who, in their right mind, would consider this a sign of a healthy economy? Yet, the government and the media continue to insist things are getting better, while nearly every piece of evidence proves otherwise. Between the ongoing economic free-fall and the easy access to online shopping, it’s not hard to imagine the day when brick-and-mortar retail stores no longer exist, apart from groceries & things of that nature.
